Wasn't
able to roam around during the event cause I had photo duties at the
Tea Room, but I'm glad that the venue was very comfortable and there
was much breathing space XD

Wasn't able to go to the SHINee shindig the day before AME no JIDAI. A bit sad (and jealous at people who went) but I'm fine. I can live with fanaccounts and fancams. I just wished they could've stayed long enough to get out of Manila and enjoy the beach. ^^; Oh well, I hope they were happy to see fans here X3

1) What was the first Gaiman work you read?

First volume of Sandman. Out of curiousity, and I am forever hooked with his writings eversince.

2) Ano ang sunod na kulay ng buhok mo?

Natural. Sunog na buhok ko dude. OTL

3) What's your favourite kind of lolita?

I lean towards the sweet loli, or shirololi. Sometimes decora too, but I don't think that's a real type of loli * m *

4) Oh oh who's your favourite male anime character?

Hmm... that's tough. I haven't watched an anime in the longest time ~~in general~~ that made me swoon over a guy. Hmm... I usually go for the cool or cold-hearted ones. Yeah, I'm a sucker for those types why D: Like Aoshi from RK or Ryuu from Bartender (although in the manga he's actually funny. ^^;)

1. Do you like the fact that you'll probably look young forever? *is jealous*

Well, I'm really thankful for what I have X3 But it's gonna be really hard to be taken seriously by some people (prolly in the corporate world, or liking someone and they'll all look at me as some sisterly love, stuff like that) but everything comes with a price. I like being a kid anyway, so I'm stretching it! \o/

2. So how do you like the TH boys?

I've heard about them a few years ago I think, and I didn't realize they grew up so fast! But yeah they're awesome! Their music sounds good :3 And I finally heard Moonsoon while me, androgynous parents, tiff and juntsu went rockband-ing and I liked it! * w * (May you recommend me your top songs to search and listen to as well?)

3. Out of all your creative outfits, what is the one you like wearing most?

Hmm... Really cute dresses with stockings and high shoes? I'll admit I like getting dolled up. I wish I could everyday, but I've learned practicality comes first :3

4. If you could have a boyfriend/girlfriend from ANY of your fandoms, who would it be and why?

Tough question. Or it's an answer I don't want to admit yet D: Oh well. As of the time being it's that tall alien dude from that sparkling boyband SHINee. Orz, my hormones apparently act up when I see him. Maybe because of that stupid episode of his in their "reality" (read:scripted) show and how sweet he was to his date and asdfghjkl I went bonkers ~~and in denial~~ after. He's too tall for me though :<

1) What achievement are you most proud of?

Being elected as VP in my arts club back in HS in my second year. One, it was kinda discouraged to have a second year have a high position in school and two, it meant that a lot of people trusted me to keep the club active and running. I know that when I look back it seems kinda petty, but I think that was a training ground for me to be more responsible,

2) If you were given the chance to go back to 5 years ago, would you? And why?

No. That was a bad year for me. I hated my classroom and I didn't like the set of classmates I had that year. No. It's like I got in a room full of stereotypical highschool girls that thought more parties, boys and backstabbing just to keep the "unity" of the class alive. I was totally disgusted and tired of the fakeness of that year.

3) Do you like someone right now? :D

Besides anyone from the fandom, no. ^^;

4) Current guilty pleasure? *_*

This meme. Miley Cyrus? I enjoy her songs, but her personality on screen turns me off > o >

1.) Who is your favorite photographer and what particular work do you like most from the person?

Hm... I don't think I really have a favorite photographer. But I guess I got interested in photography because of the ~delicious~ shoots those jrockers had that made them look so hot. But locally it'd be the Tux team's awesome photographer and good friend, Sandra Dans. Her photos are really amazing! I remember she took a picture of my orgmate in IRIS and caught the mess of her hair and her smile wonderfully. It was full of emotion, and her pictures always had a lot to say.

2.) Name a fandom you were so into but grew out of and why. Do you think you'll come back?

It'd probably be Prince of Tennis. I was TOTALLY into it in first year and third year, but with so many merch from the fandom and I think it took a really long time for the OVAs to get uploaded that I eventually lost interest. I'm not sure if the whole saga is over (cause they said that that whole thing I was into was just a prologue like WHAT), so maybe if someone updates me from where I stopped I'd probably get into it again * m *

3.) What's your favorite pinoy music video of all time/atm?

I usually like Urbandub videos. Especially the First of Summer up to the Evidence ones. Cause they all had a plot in their vids, and not just the band playing. With A Smile and Huling El Bimbo are simply classics to me and makes me understand and love the song more. ATM I like the "Up Up Down Down" vid ~~lol guilty pleasure~~ cause the video makes me interested in the song too. LOL cheating OTL.

4.) If you could attribute a fictional character to fit you best, who would it be and why?

Probably Kissa, from Furuba. The timid quiet loli who turns into a tiger. I didn't realize that until Alyssa told me she was reminded of me when she sees her. But I don't bite people's hands when provoked though. Or maybe?

1. What's it like being in the twenties?

It doesn't feel much different from being 19. Well, in my case it usually sinks in in a few months. Aside from that I feel uh, unaccomplished. This is probably the result of watching all those kpop idol kids debut so young D: But I would rather think that it's not in the number that counts when you think of how much you've gained in your life.

2. How many alcoholic drinks do you know how to mix?

One. The Margarita :| I'm only able to make (and experiment) during the Christmas holidays, and sometimes I try to find the the ingredients and most of the time I can't. I want to try the one with menthes or with Scnapps. They seem interesting cocktails.

Well, if you count the sodas + vodkas as cocktails, that'd add the number XDD

3. Favorite time of the day?

Depends. If it's the matter of sunlight, it'd be around 7-ish in the morning or 2-3 in the afternoon. If it's the time itself it'd be at night. It's cooler and quieter, so I get to do more of my stuff around the house. Hence me being a night owl -_-"

4. What's your current art style like?

I've been normally drawing chibi-style now, and I think my style is trying to be a maximalist when it's really more of a minimalist. Yes, I'm pretty much confused lately :< To be safe, it's more on the cutesy side.

Yes, my blog is now reduced to pimpage and annual updates of me getting older :( Oh LJ, I love you but procrastination has me tied to the soft warm bed under soft warm fluffy blankets.

Second sem started... lazily. At the first day, 3 out of my 4 teachers that tuesday said "let's just meet again next week" which left me with my 530-7pm class last thursday. No complaints though, the prof is amazing! He's funny, witty and talks really fast! My friends were right about that prof, he's really good and he's more into being creative and be able to express yourself well.

Should I go, or should I not? Man, I just got into them a few months ago and I'm pretty much ~~frustrated~~ confused on whether attending their shindig or not. Hmm. It's prolly once in a lifetime though.

To anyone who was wondering: me and my family's doing fine. Just got back electricity today. Although cell signal's still a bit hazy, so in case you guys texted me and I wasn't able to reply I wasn't able to receive the messages :<

Electricity got cut off saturday afternoon, and even just hearing the news on the radio was depressing. All my years living in this area, this was the first time I heard people stranded on their roofs for two days without saving any of their belongings. The worst I remember was when I was a toddler, and the water was flowing down our garage and my brother played his RC boat on it. Yeah, we were kids then. This was much worse and depressing.

We didn't exactly get flooded, but our garage had the evidence that the river water reached us. I thought it wasn't a big deal, until my mom told me that both ends of our streets the water was up to chest-level. Night came, and we could hear people screaming in Tumana to the Army people "Kailangan namin ng pagkain!" (We need food!) Tumana would be about 5 minutes away from us. Marikina river would be about 15-20. So I'm really thankful and blessed that we didn't lose anything, most especially loved ones. My brother actually stayed at his GF's house saturday night, and he was asking us to evacuate in case the floods would get worse. That was really a rare thing for him to do.

I was also somehow hopeful of the idea that so many people are reaching out to help the victims. My mom told me she saw in this fancy grocery store the Bread section was EMPTY. It couldn't have been because people we're hoarding or panic-buying, cause she also saw big cars being filled with plastics full of basic needs. So today I went to my college and helped out with the donations too. If any of you guys want to donate stuff you can drop them off at the FA and find the UP IRIS members :)

I'm glad you guys who're able to update here are safe and okay too! Being at home with no connection to other people made me worry that you guys got caught in the flood D: Hopefully I'll see you guys next week!

Shizen Orchestra

A manga, anime convention and a celebration of East Asian music, organized by the Touhou no Yuujin organization of Ateneo de Manila. The event will take place at the SMX Convention Hall, Mall of Asia, on April 25, 2009 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Tickets will be at 100 pesos per person.

UP AME will be holding a booth as an exhibitor during the event, along with a number of other booths and artists, so we hope to see you there!
